aidan-paintingThe PEC Studio Tour, an annual event celebrating Prince Edward County’s rich pool of talented artists, launches it’s 21st edition this weekend. For one weekend a year in late September, the County’s artists open the doors to their studios, inviting the public in for a sneak peak at how the magic happens. The tour runs from 10 am – 5 pm Friday to Sunday.

The Waring House hosts the official PEC Studio Tour information centre in the parlour room in our main house. Visitors can stop by and see work from participating artists, allowing them to focus on visiting the artists whose work most interests them. This of course is so important because there are so many artists participating (27 featured artists and 6 guest artists) that most people could never squeeze them all in during the weekend.

One of The Waring House’s artists in residence, oil painter Aidan Haley, will be participating in the tour again this year. His studio is located at the Waring House sales and marketing office at 13633 Loyalist Parkway (beside the traffic circle). Guests of the Waring House will receive a 15% discount off artwork purchased from the studio if they can produce proof that they’re staying at the inn.

Take a look at the gallery below for samples of Aidan Haley’s work.

The Waring House Cookery School is a hands-on recreational cooking class that takes interested students of any level and shows them tips and tricks to making professional quality food.

Get the most up to date listings about upcoming live acts playing in The Barley Room. Live music most Wednesdays - Saturdays and Sundays on Long Weekends.
